Digital Nomad

Definition: “a person who earns a living working online in various locations of their choosing (rather than a fixed business location)

The digital nomad lifestyle is free and flexible, allowing for you to just pack up your laptop and take your new career with you when you leave. You’ll make a lot of new friends along your path and most cities have digital nomad “clusters” that are its own community.

Whether you are at home or already traveling, eTEFLOnline Canada can help you get certified online in as little time as 3-4 weeks. We’ll help you create your professional profiles and find safe places to work around the world. You can teach from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Your eTEFLOnline TEFL certificate is accredited by OTTSA and accepted for teaching positions online or face-to-face in most schools right across the world.

Adventure awaits you, traveller! Teachers are needed in hundreds of locations that include Thailand, Japan, Costa Rica, Mozambique and others. Now, you can line up your work before leaving home or while you’re on the road traveling. This is your opportunity to explore the places you choose.

An amazing experience. An incredible lifestyle. No age limit. This will be the experience of a lifetime that you will never forget.

…from the Comfort of Home

Start a new career you can run right from home. We know that teaching and traveling may not be possible or practical for everyone. Are you easing into retirement? Do you need a break? Are you at home with children or grandchildren? Need to escape the stress of office and bosses? You don’t need a teacher’s certificate to teach English online…

Teaching English Online is an ethical, sustainable online career that allows you to schedule your classes around your other commitments. Many of our clients teach English part-time to supplement their regular income.

By teaching English Online, you will be helping people who have signed up to learn, understand and speak English achieve their goals and dreams. People want and need what you can offer. They know that learning English is their passport to better university educations, better jobs to support their families, expanded markets for their businesses, and for some, the chance to emigrate to a new country.
Unlike many “work-from-home” opportunities, there is no cold-calling. Unlike network marketing, you won’t be calling your friends to sell products or services you don’t even believe in or trust. Instead, you’ll be providing a service to people who want and need what you’re offering.

How much can I make?

That’s a simple question with no simple answer. An experienced teacher with a specialty can earn a lot more than $50 per hour with more demand than available time. A rookie teacher with limited availability can work in an online school but must expect fewer students, fewer classes and a lower pay rate.

Teaching English makes a great side hustle (a part-time job to earn some extra money). For some, this pays for the annual family vacation, while it may pay the car payment for another. Many people start with teaching as a side hustle, later moving further into teaching online as that income stream grows.

Use the sliders on the calculator below to set your hourly rate, estimated number of hours per day you wish to teach, and what your bundle costs.  How many hours will you have to work before your bundle is paid for? How many hours do you need to commit to earn the income you want?

Most start-up teachers will have earned enough money to pay for the course before they have taught for 50 hours. As you build your niche and get your own students, it would not be uncommon to pay for even the most expensive bundle package in 15-20 hours.

Your TEFL certificate behaves like your college/university degree – it has no expiration date.

What Others Won’t Tell You But You Need To Know…

Most of the people you will be teaching are not located in North America, so you will be teaching across time zones. Spain, for example, is +3 hours to Halifax time; China is +12 hours; some countries in South America are in the same time zone as Halifax. For some of you, this provides the added flexibility that allows you to fully utilize the early mornings, evenings and weekends and is a good aspect of this work. For others, it may mean that it takes you a little bit longer to fill your teaching schedule.

Investment Payback:

The most expensive bundled package we offer is the Advanced, and 50 hours of teaching at $15 per hour will more than cover the complete cost of this bundle. We do not charge you any annual, monthly or other fees, so you will keep all your future earnings.
